The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Obit for Chad Campbell Chad Campbell, 25, of Amarillo, Texas was a passenger in the single-engine Cessna 172 that crashed and burned shortly after taking off from the Angel Fire airport in clear, calm weather, on route to Amarillo, according to police. The pilot and Campbell were both killed in the crash the other passenger walked away with only cuts and bruises. All three passengers worked at the Big Texas Steak House in Amarillo, Texas. The restaurant is currently raising money for Campbell's family. Campbell shared a love for adventure with his 9 year-old daughter, Elizabeth Gambill of Pampa, Texas, according to his father Tom Campbell. They enjoyed inline skating and skiing together. Campbell had traveled and lived in many Latin American countries and was always in search of new skiing challenges. A 1992 Amarillo High School graduate, Campbell was majoring in accountin, with a minor in business management, at West Texas A&M University, where he would have been listed as a senior. The crash is still under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board. Chad was the grandson of Lucille Matthews and the nephew of Calvin and Nancy Hillman of Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
