Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Charles Campbell was born February 10, 1898 near Locust Grove to John T. and Francis Jane Snook Campbell and died Tuesday December 30, 1997 at the age of 99. The family moved to McAlester near Indiahoma and then in 1907 moved to a farm 1 mile east of Hammon. He attended Colter School and was married to Edna Euna Oden on August 2, 1925 at Hammon. They farmed until his retirement in March of 1993. She preceded him in death on June 3, 1986. Charles was a member of the Hammon Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include his children, Dewey Campbell and his wife, Marie of Hammon and Janan Peetom of Midwest City; three grandchildren, Myrna Chambers of Carrolton, Texas, Brenda Gass of Hammon, and Tonya Peetom of Midwest City; seven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; one brother, Albert Campbell of Seattle, Washington and three sisters, Golide Moad of big Springs, Texas, Connie Tupper of Paradise, California and Merle Truitt of Marysville, California. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Roger Mills Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogermills/rogermills.html
