All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Campbell, Ward, Cooper Ida May Ward was born Oct. 4, 1877 near Memphis, Mo., and departed this life Thursday morning at 10 o'clock May 7, 1942, at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 3 days. She moved with her parents to Oklahoma in 1898 and filed on a place one mile south of Red Star and after 5 years proved up on this farm and was married to J.W. Campbell May 13, 1904, who had also filed on an adjoining farm and they have lived on the homestead every since. To this union were born three children: Agnes Green of San Diego, Calif., John and Marvin Campbell both of Leedey, Okla. She leaves to mourn her going her aged husband, three children, one granddaugher, Johnnie Fay Campbell; three brothers and one sister, Laura Cooper and J.A. Ward of Pierce City, Mo., I.J. Ward of Leedey, and Roy Ward of Soquamish, Wash., all of whom were with her in her last hours. She also had a host of friends and loved ones who mourn her going. She was converted and united with the Christian church when but a girl. Later she united with the Brethren in Christ Church, when it was organized at Red Star and has lived a devoted Christian life to the end. Her willingness to help in time of sickenss and need has won the love and respect of all who knew her and she will breatly missed in this community. She has been in failling health for the last two years and bedfast for the last nine months. She has experienced much suffering shich she has born patiently.
