Surnames: Campbell, Pierce, Mayfield 

Carlene Campbell was born January 10, 1943 in Wheeler, Texas to Onetta and 
Carl Pierce and passed away October 8, 1994 in her home at the age of 51 
years, 8 months and 28 days.

Carlene grew up in Reydon, Oklahoma where she attended Reydon School. 
After graduating in 1961, she married Donald Campbell on October 19, of 
that year and they made Cheyenne their home. Carlene went to nursing 
school in Clinton and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1970. She began 
working at the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital and later worked a the 
Cheyenne Convalescent Home and Elk City Community Hospital. In 1975, she 
and Donald opened Campbell's Food Center before she became co-owner of the 
Variety of Fashins clothing store in Cheyenne. Carlene returned to nursing 
in 1988 when she joined Health Watch, Inc. of Elk City. She was a member 
of the Cheyenne Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, of the home; 1 daughter, Donetta 
Campbell of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 sons, Robert Campbell of Bethany, OK and 
Roger Campbell of Elk City, OK; her parents, Carl and Onetta Pierce of 
Cheyenne, OK; 1 sister, Beverly Mayfield of Ingleside, TX; 2 brothers, 
Eugene Pierce of Cummins, GA and Danny Pierce of Reydon, OK; 3 
grandchildren, Tanner, Ryan and Evan Campbell and a host of relatives and 
friends.

Funeral service was Monday, October 10, 1994 at 2:30 p.m. in the Church of 
Christ, Cheyenne, OK, Willard Cox officiating.

Interment in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklhoma 
under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral service, Cheyenne.

Pallbearers: Tony Pierce, Dale Pierce, Chad Mayfield, Craig Pierce, Danny 
Wayne Pierce and Wesley Pierce.
