Chandler was born July 7, 1917 in Rankin, Oklahoma, to Mary and Gus Trammell. She passed away September 20, 2004 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 13 days. She grew up on the Trammell Ranch northwest of Reydon. Frances attended school at Midway and Rankin. She was married to Leland Chandler in the Buffalo Community on May 13, 1933 and they continued to cherish each other until his death in 1994. They lived in New Mexico bedfore moving to Reydon in 1938 and later bought the Chandler Homestead in 1947. In 1978 Frances and her husband moved to Cheyenne to make their home. She was a homemaker and was an active member of the Indian China Painting Club, the United Daughters of the Confedceracy, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Platonic Club. She was preceded in death by hedr husband, infant child Mary Ann, her parents and one brother Jack Trammell. She is survived by her Daughter, Sandra and Robert Hunter, Albuquerque, New Mexico; 3 Sons, Dudley and Jerry Chandler, Wichita Falls, Texas; Dennie and Jan Chandler, Yukon, Oklahoma; and Gerald and Diana Chandler, Reydon, Oklahoma; 2 sisters Mar Peo and husband Ernie, Lincolln, Nebraska; and Marguerit Spurlin, Ellk City, Oklahoma; 11 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-great Granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held September 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at White Rose Cemetery, Reydxon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma officiated by Stanley Lamb. Burial will be at the White Rose Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeraal Home.
