Milton Gage and Rev. Lloyd Martin officiating. John Henry Cannon, Cheyenne, born May 30, 1883, at Sedila, Missouri, died May 18, 1970, at the Cheyenne hosptial. He came to Oklahoma in 1909 from Jacksoboro, Texas and lived in Beckham and Roger Mills all of his life. He was married to Ethie Eppo, January 18, 1905 at Post Oak, Texas. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Those preceding him in death were his wife and two daughters. Survivors are: 4 daughters: Lillian Fitzgerald, Miami, Florida, Wilma Fitzgerald, Argyle, Texas; Jessie Flori, Austin, Texasd; Jeffie Vordemark, of Lompoo, California; five sons: Donald Ray, Cordell, Oklahoma; Johnny A. Cannon, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; W.A. Cannon, Fitts Town, Oklahoma; Herbert of Beaver, Oklahoma; Hubert Cannon, Farmington, New Mexico; two brothers: Sam Cannon and R.A. Cannon of Jacksoboror, Texas; two sisters, Alto Cannon of Sweetwater, Texas; Jeffie Graves, of Jacksboro, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Committal was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son in charge of arrangements.
