Glen Russell officiating. Burial follws at Highland Cemetery, Stonewall. Mrs. Cannon died December 6, 2005, at her home. She was born March 7, 1927, at Clinton, to Sherman Levi Grubb Sr. and Gladys L. Slagle Grubb. She graduated from Independednce High School and graduated from Southwestern State College. She taugh school at Breezy Meados School until marrying and becoming a housewife and mother of five children. She was a member of Fittstown United Methodist Church. She married William Anderson Cannon May 20, 1951, at Independence, Oklahoma. She and her husband moved to this area in December 1958 from Northwest Oklahoma. He preceded her in death February 16, 1986. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Sherman Levi Grubb II. Survivors include three daughters, Myria Gibson and her husband Scott, Ardmore, Marsha Allmon and her husband Gary, Sulpher, and Lilly Kay Wynn and her husband William Cannon and his wife Liz, Fittstown, and Joe Cannon and his wife Tammy, Fittstown, three sisters, Clara Elizabeth Dunn, Richville, Kansas, Velma Lynn Carrol, Birmingham, Alabama, and Catherine Hefner. Lewiston, Idaho; one brother John Grubb, Hackett, Arkansas, 14 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Bearrers are Ross Wyche, Harold Uhlich, Johnny Daniel, Leonard Daniel, Ronnie Sexton, andf Virgil Gantt. Honorary bearers ared Richard Sexton, Carl Tackett and Buck Crabtree. The family says those who wish may make memorials to Ada Family Hospice Foundation, 1306 Arilinton, Ada, OK 74820.
