(Bob) Conner, Jr. was born November 3, 1926 in Leedey, OK to Edna Mae and Pete Conner and passed away June 8, 1994 at his home in Cheyenne at the age of 67 years, 7 months and 5 days. Robert lived in the Trhee Corners and Strong City communities and attended Strong City High School. Before graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during World War II. After his discharge, he returned to Strong City to complete his education. He then re-enlised in the Air Force where he remained until 1955 when he moved to Far Rockaway, NY where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. In 1985 he moved to Cheyenne to make his home. Robert was a member of the Elk City VFW Post #. He was preceded in death by his parents and l brother, Lyle. He is survived by 2 daughters, Linda and Frances; 2 sons, Raymond L. and Charles R.; a foster daughter Rose; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Bob Tomerlin, Lazetta and Bill Walsh, all of Albuquerque, NM, and Joyce and Bob Barton, Crawford, OK; 4 brothers, Vernon and wife, Mary, Los Angeles, CA, Jimmy of Cheyenne, OK; Frank and wie, Shirley, Irving, TX and Roy and wife Jean of Albuquerque, NM; sister in law, Virginia Conner, Denver, CO; several neices and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 10, 1994 at the Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, OK officiated by Ray Smart.
