McIntosh born Fayette, Wisconsin, September 1, 1849, married to Charles A. Cary in 1868. There were five children, Herbert A. of Rogers, Arkansas,; Weston J. who died six years ago; Edessa who passed away in early womanhoods; Dr. W.S. Cary of Rankin and Nellie A. who has been a constant and devoted companion of the mother since the death of the husband and father in 1921. Mrs. Cary was converted when a young woman and joined the Baptist church. She together with her whole family joined the Methodist church in 1892 in Fayette, Wis. In 1914 the family moved to Darlington, Wis., where they have since made their home. On October 30, 1924 Mrs. Cary and Miss Nellie left Darlington to spend the winter with Dr. W.S. Cary of Rankin, and although having a slight cold and somewhat tired from the journey Mrs. Cary stood thed trip well, but later pneumonia developed and after twenty-four hours she passed quietly away, just two weeks from the time she had left her home in Darlington, Wis.--- Nov. 13, 1924. The body was shipped back to Darlington for burial.
