Carver, 79-years-old city resident who died last Thursday, March 30, 1946 a his home, 516 South Washington, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Christian church with Rev. Jay Turnbull, Shamrock, Texas, officiating. Mr. Carver was born November 7, 1867, in Kentucky and was married August 4, 1897, in Hunt County, moved to Roger Mills county in 1901 and to Elk City in 1924, making this their home since. He was a member of the Second Adventist church. Survivors are his wife: five daughters, Mrs. Roy Fox and Mrs. Ora Haden, both of Elk City, Mrs. Frank Kolander, Shattuck, Mrs. J.B. Pazoureck, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Eunice Brown of San Diego, California; a son, A.G. Carver, jr., Carlsbad, New Mexico; a brother, Byrd Carver, Smith Groove, Kentucky; a sister, Mrs. Kitty Adams, Indianapolis, Indiana, and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter.
