Creach, father of Mrs. C.E. Lippencott of Cheyenne were heeld Thursday afternoon at Hammon with Rev. Lee Shayton of Granfield, Oklahoma officiating. He was assisted by Rev. W.R. Trent aand Rev. O. B. Powers. Cheyenne Odd Fellows assisted those of Hammon in performing the funeral rites of the Order at the graveside. The 81-year-old pioneer passed away Tuesday, June 18, 1946, in an Elk City hospital following a stroke a few days previously. James Franklin Creach was born in Tennessee February 24, 1865. He was married to Louisa Trent on August 2, 1886. Mrs. Creach preceded him in death in 1929. They came to this section in 1900. Mr. Creach was a member of the Baptist church, and a member of the International Order of Oddd Fellows. He is survived by three sons and four daughters. They are: Sam Creach, Leedey; Andy Creach, Hammon; Lee Creach, Clinton; Mrs. Minnie Jarvis, Chandler; Mrs. Martha Fesmire, Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Mary Lippencott, Cheyenne, and Miss Etta Creach, Hammon; also thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren survive. Mr. Creach was preceded in death by three infant children. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
