Obit for Vern Crosby

Vern Crosby, the son of W.O. and Julia Crosby was born August 19, 1872 near 
Shiloh, Michigan.

He passed away December 23, 1958 at Enid, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years four 
months and four days.  Survivors are six nieces, Miss Lena Crosby, Mrs. C.W. 
Maupin, Mrs. Earl Wade, all of Enid, Mrs. Fenton Fleming of Kanapolis, Kansas, 
Mrs. Roy Sikes, Wichita, Kansas; two nephews, Mr. Elgin Crosby of Enid and Mr.
Archie Crosby, of Golden Gate, Colorado.

Mr. Crosby was a pioneer of Roger Mills County, having moved here in 1900.  
He resided near Durham until 1925 when he moved to Enid.  He was a member of the 
Calvary Baptist Church.  He was laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery, Durham, 
Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
