All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Carl Henry William Carl of Cheyenne, passed away at his home Tuesday afternoon, September 21, 1937 after a short illness. He had lived in this community for many years and was well known to pracically every one, although he had been an invalid for more than seven years, caused by a paralytic stoke on August 14, 1930. H. W. Carl served in the Union Army during the Civil War, and received an honorable discharge at the completion of his military service. He was 89 years, 8 months, and 23 days at the time of his death. Having been born December 29, 1847. He leaves four sons: Ed, A.L., Roy and Clifford, all of this community, and a number of grandchildren among whom is Henry A. Carl, county treasurer of Roger Mills County; and a number of great grandchildren. While Mr. Carl lived an extremely ripe old age, he never grew old, he was always young in action, and never ceased to enjoy humor. Funeral services will be conducted at the Baptist church in this city with Rev. Carleton officiating.
