He passed away January 22, 2004 in Baptist Integris Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 40 years, 3 months and 26 days. He moved with his parents to Cheyenne where he graduated from High School in 1982. Joe later graduated from Okmulgee Tech in automotive body rapair. He lived in Hydro, Vinson and Weatherford moving back to Cheyenne to make his home. He was a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brothers at birth. Services were held Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Cheyenne First Baptist Church, officiated by Ray Smart. Burial will be at Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Survivors include: 3 daughters, Chelsea Ranee Crandall, Bethany, Missouri, Nicole Anne Harting, St. Louis, Missouri, Kimberly Joyce Pebley, Hydro, Oklahoma; 3 sisters Susie Bryant, Sayre, Oklahoma, Jolene Ginn, Foss, Oklahoma; Maxine Barrow, Foss, Oklahoma; 4 brothers Tommy Crandall, Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Carl Crandall, Sayre, Oklahoma, Phillip Crandall, Sayre, Oklahoma, Lee Crandall, Cheyenne, Okllahoma; 3 grandchildren Casey Ray, Byson Lee and Audrey Ann; and a host of other relatives and friends.
