He passed away October 22,2000 in Deaconess Hospital at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 8 monthss and 2 days. George moved from Milbank, South Dakota in 1936 to Gem City, Texas. He moved to Cheyenne in 1953 the same year he entered the U.S. Army. He was a POW in the Korean War. George married Ester Bee (Brooks) in Cheyenne, Oklahoma on April 26, 1958. George enjoyed being a mechanic, fishing, motorcycles, his horses and being outdoors. He also had a love for animals. He served as State Commander for the D.A.V. for 2 years and was Senior Vice Commander for the V.F.W. George was a member in the D.A.V. and V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sons, wife and 1 granddaughter. Services will be held October 26, 2000 at 10:00 AM at Cheyenne First Baptist Church, officiated by Fred Fudge. Burial will be held at Cheyenne Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Cheyenne, Oklahoma, under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Survivors are five sons; Tommy and Gail Crandall, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Joe and Patricia Crandall, Hydro, Oklahoma; Phillip and Deann Crandall, Sayre, Oklahoma; Lee Crandall, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Carl and Robin Crandall, Sayre, Oklahoma; Three daughters; Susie and Bobby Bryant, Sayre, Oklahoma; Jolene and Terry Ginn, Foss, Oklahoma; Maxine Barrow, Foss, Oklahoma; Eight grandchildren; Crystal Toler, John Toler, Kimmie Monley, Nicole and Matt Harting, Harley Ginn, Tiffany Barrow, Chelsea Crandall, Valley and Jennifer Bryant. Four great grandchildren; Casey Haring, Desiree Bryant, Camron Toler, Preston Bryant. Two brothers; Elmer Lane and Ann Crandall, Higgins, Texas; Clarence Oliver and Jean Crandall, Ft. Smith, AR. Seven sisters: Lorene and Mac Hageman, Upper Lake, CA; Ruby and James Mearley, Canadian, TX; Helen and Don Stonecipher, Mexia, TX; Jesssee and Don Holley, Lawton, OK; Hazel and James Maggard, Cheyenne, OK; Vera Holley, Cheyenne, ok; Chris Fleshman, Medford, OK. !
