Interment followed in the Red Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Estabelle Clayton was born August 17, 1915, at Hobart to N.B. and Alice (Madden) Newcomb and passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at the age of 93 She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City beforee her marriage to Earl Clayton. They spent most all of their life in Hammon before moving to Elk City. Mrs. Clayton was a homemaker and seamstress and workeed at the Pants Factory and Khouries. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Hammon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Bobby Clayton and two grandsons. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Smith and her husband, Scott of Hammon; seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a brother, Nate Newcomb of Elk City.
