Gifford officiating. Interment will follow at the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. On April 18, 2008 the Lord called Home Dwain Cook home. Dwain was born June 22, 1943 in Reydon, Oklahoma to Homer and Addie Cook. Homer Dwain attended Ponca City andc Uncas schools. After graduation, Homer Dwain proudly served our country in Vietnam. He then worked at Bell Helicopter in Amarillo, Texas, and later became an industrial painter working for Mandros Painting in Green River, Wyoming. Home resided in Rock Springs, Wyoming for most of his adul life where he met and married his loving wife and partneer in 1998. Homer Dwain was an avid outdoorsman. He and Stella were always roaming the Wyoming Mountians. His many talents included photography, Painting and poetry, becoming a very well knowen poet in his field, winning many awards. He enjoyed spending time with his children, brothers, and grandchildren. His ornery nature was surpassed only by his desire to work hard. He especially enjoyed political arguments, never one to back down until he was sure everyone was in agreement. Homer Dwain leaves behind his precious wife Stella of the home. His loving mother, Addie Driskell of Elk City; two sons, Mike D. Cook and wife, Mickey of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Mark E. Cook and wife, Dana of Haslet, Texas. Threee daughters, Cindy Bublik and husband, Ernie of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Sharon A. Fisher and husband, Skip of Drenver, Colorado, Kathy L. Moss and husband, Wayne of Casper, Wyoming. Brothers, Chad "Norvil" Driskell and wife, Cleon of Benton, Louisiand, Darrel Cook and wife, Ameh of Elk City, Oklahomaa, Sandy "Clyde" Driskell and wife, Paulette of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Butch Driskell and wife Lynda of Enidd, Oklahoma; and sister, Mary Garvin and husband, Gerald of Fairfield, California. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren he was very proud of and involved in each and every one of their lives. Lastly, his beloved dog Tango who has been a loyal companion for many years.
