"Jammer" Crandall was born June 28, 1968, in Sayre to Esther Bee and George Sherman Crandall. He passed away January 14, 2009, at Oklahoma City at the age of 40 years, six months and 16 days. Phillip grew up in Cheyenne where he graduated from high school. He enlisted in the United States Army, and after his discharge he entered the National Guard and continued to serve his country. He owned and operated Crandall's Tire Repair. He was married to Deann Merrifield at Sayre on August 26, 1992, and they continued to live in Sayre to make his home. He loved taking care of their horses, hunting and fishing. Phillip was a lifetime member of the Downed Biker's Association. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Ronnie, Donniee, Joe, Tommy and Carl. Services were held Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at Sayre School Auditorium officiated by Vern Rich. Burial was at Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapeel Funeral Services.
