Crume, 61, retired teacher, who died Saturday at Gerald Champlion Memorial Hospital. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Gus Bogan, of Oraole, Ariz., with interement following at Monte Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Lee, Dick Strong, Rex James, Glen Daves, Warrewn Sanders and Earl Numn. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the Otero County Heart Fund. Born in Grady, New Mexico, December 20, 1911, Crume had lived in Alamogordo since 1958. A member of Masonic Lodge No. 50 at Magdalena, New Mexico and of the National Education Association, he retired last year after 33 years as a teacher in New Mexico public schools. Both Tom and Hazel taught at Midway, Oklahoma from 1942- 1944. Hazel was raised near Reydon, Oklahoma. Survivors include wife, Hazel; three sons, Thomas E. of Alexandria, Va., Elbert W. of Odessa, Texas, and Larry E. of El Paso; a daughter, Mrs. Doyle McCarley, of Albuquerque; three brothers, Everett W. of Plainview, Texas, Edward of Sundan, Texas, and Jimmy of El Dorado, Oklahoma; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Newberry of El Dorado, Oklahoma, Mrs. Amy Tiller of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Mrs. Gladys Messer of Pine, Colorado, and Mrs. Bess Ruth Sutton of Quanah, Texas; and five grandchildren.
