Cunningham, more than 80 years of age and a resident near Cheyenne for over 40 years, were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Baptist Church, in Cheyenne. The ceremony was in charge of the Cheyenne Masonic Order, of which Mr. Cunningham has been a member for many years. Rev. H.W. Shirley, pastor of the First Baptist church here, read the final rites. Mr. Cunningham became ill last Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S.H. Rimbey in Cheyenne, and was taken to a hospital in Sayre where he underwent a major operation Friday evening. He died Monday afternoon August 4, 1930. Mr. Cunningham has made his home with his children since the death of Mrs. Cunningham four years ago. Prior to that time he resided on his farm one and one-half miles north of Cheyenne on which he homesteaded about 40 years ago. Surviving Mr. Cunningham are eight children and 45 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Children surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Albert McKinney of Elk City, Mrs. H.C. Kayser, of Springfield, Colorado, and Mrs. S.H. Rimbey and Mrs. John Cross, of Cheyenne; four sons Judson Cunningham, Ray Cunningham, Kenneth Cunningham and Jess Cunningham all of Cheyenne. Interment was made in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
