Curry who died Sunday evening, March 23, 1930 in a hospital at Sayre, Oklahoma. Hanna had been ill only a short time, having been operated on Monday previous to his death for appendicitis, a case wherein the appendix has ruptured. His condition was considered serious from the time he was taken to the hospital. Mr. Curry and family had resided in Cheyenne about a year during which time he was manager of the Maryland Filling Station. During this year he had made a host of friends who are grieved at his passing from life at such an early age. During the funeral services the business life of Cheyenne stood still in respect to the memory of this young man. Hanna Gully Curry was born in Quanah, Texas June 25, 1905. He moved to the county eight years ago and resided near Midway until he moved to Cheyenne. Previous to coming to Roger Mills County he had resided in Jackson county with his parents. On February 22, 1924, he was married to Mary McGlothlin of the Midway community and to this union were born two sons, Norman Ray, age 3 years, and Perry Glenn age 20 months. Besides his wife and two sons he leaves his father, mother, four brothers and two sisters who are: Mr. and Mrs. M.D. Curry of McLean, Texas, parents: L.L. Curry, Headrick, Oklahoma; E.P. Curry, Reydon, Oklahoma; M.D. Curry, Jr., Ramtoul, Ill.; Jim Bill Curry, McLean, Texas; Mrs. C.I. Ewing, Durham, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Dough Wilson of Pampa, Texas, all of whom were present at the funeral except M.D. Curry, Jr. Hanna Curry was a splendid type of young man one who made friends of all. A large number of friends from Jackson county and from the vicinity of Midway where he lived, were present at the funeral which bespeaks the love had for him. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Baptist church in Cheyenne in the presence of friends and relatives. Rev. Plunkett of Gould, Oklahoma, former pastor of the family preached the sermon and was assisted in the service by Rev. C.E. Rhoads, local pastor of the Methodist church. The remains were laid to rest in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma beneath a mound of flowers bestowed by loved ones. J.H. Tunnard, undertaker, had charge of the funeral service.
