Sallie, the daughter of Natha and Easter Gose Dykes, moved to Oklahoma with her parents in a covered wagon at the age of 9 years old. She later moved to Washington for 2 years, before moving back to the Cheyenne area until moving to Santo, Texas where she has lived the last 10 years. She had been a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, J.N. Dewey, 4 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by 2 daughtgers: Syvlia Bandy of Santo, Texas, Emma Nussbaum of Raymond, Washington; 1 son, Buster Miller of Strong City, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Bessie Conway of Raymond, Washington; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Joe Whitson, Howard Beavin, Eugene Ormand, Bob Cogburn, Emmett Morris, and Wesley Conway.
