She joined the Methodist church at the age of 15 and lived a consecrated Christian life. She gave her life working and praying for her children and grandchildren. She was married to Benjamin Jobie Butler Match 26, 1907. He died in 1918 in Missouri. To this union four children were born, Barnard Jobie, who died in 1935; Bennet Bee of Oklahoma City; Isthma Glatha Deardorff of Los Angeles, California, and Dalphne Merial Sanford of Reydon. She was married to R.S. Davis at Hatfield, Arkansas May 22, 1921. He preceded her in death in 1946. To this union three children were born, Sylvanus Ruth Phillippi of Los Angeles, Freda Etne and Gurney Louoden, who died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her departure besides her children, 10 step children whom she loved as her own. They are Olin Z. Davis, St. Louis, Mo.; Omer Davis, Lemoore, California; Omie E. Emoer, Carlton, Oregon; Dorotha Michell, Firebaugh, California; Callie Hensley, Downey, California; Sherman Eugene Davis, Glendale, California; Rachel House, Hatfield, Arkansas; Jessimore Frazier, Medford, Oregon; Alma White, Southgate, California; Emma Spauling, Anaheim, California; Joy Watkins, Butler, California; and Tom Watkins, Los Angeles, California. Mr. and Mrs. Davis moved from Arkansas to Berlin, Oklahoma in 1929 and moved to the Reydon community in 1932. She was active in her church and the Rebekah lodge. Services were conducted Monday, April 16, 1951 by Rev. J.L. Davis, assisted by Rev. Horace Woodard. Burial was in Crane, Mo., Wednesday. The Reydon Rebekahs performed their burial ceremony in her honor. Relatives from a distance that attended the funeral included her sister, Mrs. Howard Phillippi, Eugene Davis, both of Glendale, California; Miss Dorothy Watkins Green, Sam and B.H. Watkins of Elsey, Mo.; James and Luke Watkins of Springfield, Mo.; Henry Watkins of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. H.L. Smith and children of Canadian, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Townsley and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Males and daughter of Crawford,; Bennett B. Butler of Oklahoma City and Miss Coletta Butler of Tecumseh.
