The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Services for Albert Dwight Davis, Sr. 46, of Kerrville, who died Monday at his residence, were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grimes Funeral chapel with the Rev. Tim Hill officiating. Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Born October 27, 1944 in Elk City, Oklahoma, Mr. Davis had been a resident of Kerrville for 33 years. He was a firefighter, and has served as fire chief of the town of South Padre Island. A 1962 graduate of Tivy High School, he had attended San Antonio College, and was a member of the Baptist Church, Lions Club and Firefighters Association. He married Carol Pfeuffer in Kerrville on November 10, 1962. She survives. Other survivors include his parents, Albert and Stella Davis of Kerrville; a daughter, Carlene Kuykendall of Kerrville; a son, Albert Dwight Davis Jr., of Kerrville; a sister Sue Olson of Grimes, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren, Eric, Chance, Candice, Kyla and Heather Kuykendall. Dwigh was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Ray Davis in 1983 and a sister, Julie Weber in March of 1991. Also his maternal and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I.E. Bradford and Mr. and Mrs. A. Davis. Memorials may be made to the Heart of the Hills Hospice or the Organ Transplant Program, Room 243F, UTHSC, 7703 Floyd Curl Dr., San Antonio, Texas, 78284. Pallbearers were Al Olson, Lonnie Olson, Mack Weber, Franklin Weber, Eddie Davis, Clarence Stehling, Robert Stehling and Edward Stehling. Honorary pallbearers were Kerrville firefighters Raymond Holloway, Raymond Tennison, Arthur Verona, Keith Spenrath, John Watts, Ray Crooks, Johnny Fitzgerald, Steve Langlinais, Dane Gourley, Jeff Isom, Art Karcher, Tom Pattison, Steve Raymond, Pat Roll and Mickey Smart.
