Stanley Nixon, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Plainview Cemetery directed by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Davis was dead on arrival at a Plainview hospital at 12:50 Sunday of an apparent heart seizure. A native of Hammons, Oklahoma, he was born Mary 24, 1912. He had done pipeline work with H.C. Price out of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and for 21 years was with Beutler Brothers Rodeo touring in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Mr. Davis a resident of Lawton, Oklahoma, 20 years, operated All Sign Co. there and Medicine Park awhile, he had been with a number of carnivals in the southwest and he and his wife had operated three of their own. Mr. Davis moved to Plainview 15 years ago from Lawton, Oklahoma and operated Luna Amusement Park and was owner of Cactus Signs in Plainview. Mr. Davis and the former Lotteva Wagner were married May 21, 1941, in Eldorado, Kansas. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, and a nephew, Dale Hiatt of Hammons, Oklahoma. Russell E. (Tarzan) Davis was the son of Leona May and Joe Davis of Hammons and Cheyenne, Oklahoma. His mother was a Smallwood.
