Davis was born August 22, 1895 in Good Hope, MO to Rachel Ann and Elmer Henry Davis and died June 5, 1993 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 97 years old. Austin married Maud Garrison on February 15, 1912 in Ava, Missouri. They lived in Ava beofre moving to Oklahoma and later back to Missouri before moving to Yale, Oklahoma. Austin and Maud moved the family to Roger Mills County in 1934 to make their home. Austin had been a farmer for most of his life and had a passion for raising horses. He had also worked in the oil field as a pipe liner where he traveled extensively around the country. Austin was also a dealer for the Rawlegih Company. He was a member of the Durham United Pentecostal Church since 1956 and had been associated with the Reydon Community Church for the past few years. He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 daughter Ester, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Crawford School Auditorium officiated by Wal;ker Andrews, and assisted by Alberta Helton. Interment will be in the Silent Home Cemeter, Roll, Roger Mills County under the direction of Rose chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Survivors include: 1 daughter and son-in-law, Norma Gene and Nelson Selby of Reydon, Oklahoma; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Ray L. and Joyce Davis of Pampa, Texas; 2 sisters, Mina Edwards of Iola, Kansas, Dora Bales of Monroe, Missour; 4 grandchildren, Jacie Ray (Carolyn) Selby of Pampa, Texas, Reta (Eugene) Hall of Clinton, Oklahoma, Roy N. (Bonnie) Selby of Stnnett, Texas, Reba (T.G.)
