Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Silent Home cemetery near Crawford with Rev. J.T. Bradley, pastor of the First Baptist Church at Cheyenne, officiating. Mr. Davis, a native of Indiana, had lived in Roger Mills county since 1902, moving there from Indiana. He was married in Indiana to Mary Young, who died in 1888 before the family left Indiana. Mr. Davis is survived by four daughters, three sons and a step-son. Daughters surviving are Mrs. Lois Ferguson, Owensville, Ind.; Mrs. Lulu Parker, Lawerenceburg, Ind.; Mrs. Etta Cross, Archer City, Texas; Mrs. Ollie Parker, Crawford. Sons surviving are Bill Davis and Carl Davis, both of Crawford, and J.Q. Davis, Jr., of Los Angeles, Calif.; a step-son Shubert Arnold lives at Canadian, Texas. Mr. Davis was a member of the Baptist Church.
