Services are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Sayre, Oklahoma. Alan Eugene Dovell was born November 9, 1948 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Rena Marshall and Amos Eugene Dovell. He passed away September 25, 2005 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the aged of 56 years, 10 months and 16 days. Alan graduated from Sayre High School and attended Oklahoma A & M College. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict from 1968 until 1972. He lived in southern California for 18 years where he was a car dealer. Alan moved back to Sayre in 1984. He was married to Norma Jean Wray Fee at Ft. Smith, Arkansas on January 2, 1991. They lived in Sayre to make their home. Alan raises cattle and with his parents and brother owned and operated the Sweetwater Gin in 1985 he became the Equipment Manager for the Oklahoma Department of Conservation until his retirement. He was a member of the Elk City Antioch Christian Church. Survivors include wsife, Norma of the home; three step sons, Russel Fee, and Raymond Fee, both of Watonga, Oklahoma, and Jeff Fee and wife, Linda, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his parents, Amos and Rena Dovell, Sayre, Oklahoma; one brother James Dovell and wife, Jan, Sayre, Oklahoma; six step grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
