He came to Oklahoma with his parents from Kansas at a very young age. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a World War I Veteran, a member of the American Legion of Reydon. Survivors include: 2 sisters: Nellie Burns, Cheyenne, klahoma; and Bertha Turner of Pampa, Texas; 4 brothers: GGlen, Sacramento, California; Clyde, Mobettie, Texas; Howard, Sweetwater, Oklahoma; Leston, Myrtlepoint, Oregon. Funeral services for Mr. Dickey were held Thursday September 23, 1976, at the Reydon Community Building. Officiating minister was Rev. Eddie Overstreeyt. Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins Funeral Home.
