All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Silent Home Cemetery--Roll OK Surnames: Dickason, Rorabaugh Originally posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/6567 Edward Francis Dickason was born January 28, 1898, near Lincoln, Nebraska and departed this life October 3, 1944, at the Tisdall hospital at Elk City, Oklahoma, at the age of 45 years, nine months and 25 days. He moved with his parents to the Crawford community in 1901, where they filed on and homesteaded the Dickson farm where they resided until they were called away, his mother in 1935 and his father in 1937, and where Edd lived practically all his life. He was united in marriage to Mae Rorabaugh in 1920. To this union were born two sons, one preceding him in death in 1921, and Rex, who is with the U.S. Navy and is now stationed near Hollister, California. He united with the Church of Christ in 1935, and had lived a very devout, Christian life, being a faithful work in the church, a good neighbor and a friend to all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his passeing his wife, son and one grandson, besides a host of other relatives and friends. A dear one from us is gone, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our, home Which never can be filled. Services were held in the Crawford auditorium on October 7, 1944, Rev. Roy Ruckman, officiating. Interment was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Millsd county, Oklahoma under the direction of the Tunnard Funeral Home.
