William Mundun of United Pentecostal Church of Guthrie, Oklahoma officiating directed by Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Guy was born on March 28, 1914 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He died Thursday, June 17, 1999 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of four children born to James Minor and Edna Earl Dawkins, original homesteaders in Western Oklahoma. Mr. Dawkins is survived by one brother, Irvin Dawkins, who resides in Sayre, Oklahoma, three children, Linda L. Hill and Rusty Lord, both of Guthrie, and Wallace Dawkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, Rusty, Billy, Nicole and Amber Hill, Delinda Branson, Billy Lord, plus six great grandchildren, Bryce and Raven Hill, Christi and Chance Branson, Lindsey and Alisia Lord, and numerous nephews and nieces. Mr. Dawkins was a World War II veteran and long standing VFW member. He became a professional dry cleaner after being discharged from the service. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
