He was born to Dewey A. and Gladys Daugherty on November 17, 1949 in Sayre, Oklahoma. Steven was a 1968 graduate of Cheyenne High School and then attended Southwestern State University in Weatherford. In 1973 he married Becky Wilson in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They moved to Yukon in 1986 coming from Elk City, Oklahoma. Steven served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He owned the Texaco Food Mart in Mustang. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Becky Daugherty, two sons, Tyson Ryan and Tanner Acole Daugherty both of Yukon, one daughter, Shannon LaShea Daugherty of Yukon, Oklahoma, mother Gladys Daugherty of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; one brother, Stan Daugherty of Houston, Texas; two sisters Gayle Damron of Moore, Oklahoma and Vicky Miller of Strong City, Oklahoma and one grandchild Tate Dillon. He is preceded in death by his father, Dewey A. Daugherty. Services were set for 2;00 p.m. Saturday January 2, 1999 at the Yanda and Son Chapel with John Miller officiating.
