Daugherty, 80, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away February 25, 2005 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Oklahoma. Bufford Okeemah was born March 6, 1924 in Grimes, Oklahoma, and the daughter of Wesley and Stella Mong Isch. She attended school in the Blue Ridge and Meridian area. She grew up in Roger Mills County. On November 4, 1939 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Bufford was united in marriage to Raymond "Red" Daugherty. In 1951 they moved to Hooker, Oklahoma. She worked as a packer for six years for Northwestern Van Lines in Liberal, Kansas. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Hooker, Oklahoma; she enjoyed collecting teddy bears, cookie jars and jewelry; gardening, traveling, and going to garage sales. She is preceded in death by her husband, Red on February 14, 1999, three sons, Lamarr, Roger Farrell and Clovis; a daughter Rhonda Sue Mitchell; two sisters, Sylvia Isch and Luella Trammell; two great grandsons, Trevor Keith and Michael Scroggins and two great granddaughters, Michelle Scroggins and Tommy Leann Howard. Survivors include two sons, Richard Daugherty and Justine and his wife Rhonda Daugherty all of Hooker, Oklahoma; three daughters, Barbara Keith and her husband Calvin of Optima, Oklahoma, Linda Ray and her husband Homer of Adams, Oklahoma and Dixie Snook and her husband Randall of Canadian, Texas and Elsie Leonard and her huusband Jr. of Reydon, Oklahoma; thirteen granddaughters and fifteen grandsons; eighteen great grandsons and sixteen great granddaughters; two great great granddaughters. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Church of the Nazarene in Hooker, Oklahoma with Rev. Dr. David Hoffman. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery ddirected by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma. Memorialsd may be given for family use and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
