All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Dodson, Dawkins, Varnell, Lee, Culp, Hulsey Orvil Dodson, age 22 years, five months and seventeen days died October 21, 1927, four miles south of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, after a long illness of typhoid fever. Orvil was well known around Cheyenne, having mobed here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Dodson from Maud, Oklahoma in the year of 1920, where he lived with his parents until March 3, 1926, when he was married to Miss Edna Dawkins of Cheyenne and moved from his home 1 mile south to the Dawkins home four miles south. He was laid to rest in Cheyenne cemetery, October 22, 1927. Beneath a flower covered mound the Rev. Jones of Needmore community, conducted the funeral service. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and baby, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Dodson, one brother Havie Dodson of Shawnee, Oklahoma and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Varnell of cheyenne and one half brother C.C. Lee of Pocasett, Oklahoma. All were present also an Uncle John Dodson of Cheyenne and Uncle R.C. Culp of Oklahoma City and Aunt Mollie Hulsey of Oklahoma City and a host of friends around Cheyenne and Needmore. Burial Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
