All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Dodson, Pinkston, Moran, Walker, Hagerman, Barber, Dunlap, Driver Mae Dodson was born November 17, 1919 in Gage, Oklahoma to Cora Ethel and Joseph Benjamin Pinkston. She passed away August 11, 2001 in the Hensley Nursing Home Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years 8 months and 24 days. Mae attended school at Herring. She was married to Buster Melvin Dodson in a wagon in the middle of the road in Roger Mills County, near Hammon on May 14, 1937. They made their home in the Herring community until May of 1988 when they moved into Cheyenne. Mae was a gardener and loved giving away her produce to friends and family. She loved to fish, play cards and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan and after her eyesight began to fade she continued to follow the team by listening to them on the TV. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 daughters, Angelyn Fay Dodson and Rosa Mae Moran; 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 grandson and 1 great grandson. Services were held Tuesday August 14, 2001 at 10:00 AM at Cheyenne First Baptist Church, officiated by Terrell Romberg and Tracey Lane. Burial was at the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Survivors include: four daughters, Lynda and Donnie Walker of Sweetwater, OK, Joan and Butch Hagerman, Sweetwater, OK, Karen and Jim Barber of Crawford, OK, Melva and Larry Dunlap of Sayre, OK; two sons, Earl and Barbara Dodson of Nowata, OK, Mark and Janey Dodson of Reydon, OK; Mary Ann Driver of Hammon, OK and Ola Walker of Elk City, OK; special Sister- in-law, Lorene Pinkston of Hammon, OK; 16 grandchildren, 13 grear grandchildren; hosts of relatives and friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Roger Mills Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogermills/rogermills.html
