Mrs. Dodson was born in Green county, Tenn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Stubblefield. She married W.H. Dodson December 23, 1876 at Mooresburg, Tenn. She was a member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Doris, Phoenix, Ariz., three sons, Dewey, Sayre; Fred, Willow, and Clyde, Reydon, and a brother, T.D. Stubblefield, Los Angeles, California. Services were conducted by Rev. J.D. Cunningham Wednesday afternoon at the First Methodist church. Interment was arranged by Littrell-Scroggins directors at the Dempsey cemetery. Sayre Sunbeam, Sayre, OK 16-Feb-1939 ========= Mrs. Nancy A. Stubbloefield was born in Hawkins county, Tennessee on November 25, 1857. She was married to William H. Dodson, December 23, 1876. To this union were born nine childen. Her husband and five of their children preceded her in death: Thomas, age 4; Lida, 1 year; Mrs. Fred Wolf, age 29 years; and infant baby; and Hugh W. Dodson, who died at Sayre March 29, 1931. She is survived by the four remaining children: Fred of Plainview, Texas; Clyde of Reydon, Mrs. Guy R. Davis of Phoenix, Arizona and Dewey of Sayre, one brother, T.D. Stubblefield of Los Angeles, Calif., 11 grandchildren, six grandchildren. She united with the Methodist church in Tennessee and remained a true and faithful Christian all her life. She died February 13, 1939 at the home of her son, Dewey, with whom she had made her home since the death of her husband in 1918.
