The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Frances "Fran" Mary Doyel was born November 8, 1924 in Texola, Oklahoma to Dick and Mabel Cobb. She departed this life Monday, February 26, 2001, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 18 days. Fran graduated as valedictorian of the Crawford, Oklahoma High School Class of 1943. She and Leonard Foster were united in marriage on January 17, 1943. During World War II, Fran worked as a welder for the Tinker Air Force Base. She was a devoted homemaker, diligently working and providing for her family. She helped to raise quarter horses with her family, and had also worked at the Chandler, Oklahoma Wal-Mart. Leonard preceded Fran in death on July 28, 1993, after 50 and a half years together. In 1994, Fran moved to Depew, after living in Davenport and Lincoln County for several years. She and Paul Doyel were united in marriage August 7, 1994, in Depew, Oklahoma. Fran was a member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary. She was of the Baptist faith. Sewing was a favorite pastime for her. Fran is survived by: her husband, Paul Doyel of the home; two sons: Murray Foster and wife Susan of Davenport, Oklahoma; Matthew Foster of Katy, Texas, two daughters: Mary Levy-Nealey and husband John of Depew, Oklahoma; Chrystal Foster of Talmage, California; one brother, Fred Cobb and wife Avis of Roll, Oklahoma; one step-son: Roger Doyel of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two step-daughters: Sue Simons and husband Floyd of Bixby, Oklahoma; Laura Little of Bentonville, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and one on the way; a host of other relatives and friends. Fran was preceded in death by both parents; her first husband; and one brother, Frank Cobb. Grave side services were held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2001, at the Davenport Cemetery with Reverend Mike Mitchell officiating.
