She was 94 years old. Myrtle was born April 13, 1899 and was raised in Leedey, Oklahoma where she attended schools. She married James H. Denney on February 6, 1917 in Leedey where they resided until 1943 when the moved to Stockton. They moved to Lodi in 1963. She loved children and over the past 40 years she has tended several in her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved quilting, enjoyed Bible study, music (especially religious tapes), and she looked forward to reading about her hometown in the weekly paper from back home. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Denney and 3 brothers, Ollie, Edwin and Jewell Eaton. Survivors include 4 daughters, Oneta Hudson of Georgia; Winnifred Kniehg of Idaho; LaVeda Herr of Olivehurst, California; and Barbara Hiers of Lodi, California; 3 sons, James L. Denney of Stockton; Talbert L. Denney of Gardnerville, Nevada; and Ardell Denney of Stockton, California; 2 sisters, Thelma Bolander of Reedley, California and Velma Poore of Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren. Services were at Cherokee Memorial Park with Pastor David Mitchell of the First Baptist Church. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
