All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Denney, Currier Lillie Faye Currier Denney, daughter of Arch and Arizona Branscum Currier, was born April 18, 1916 in Hamlin, Texas. She passed from this life on February 23, 1985 at the Oklahoma Memorial Hospital, Oklahoma City, at the age of sixty-eight years. When Lillie Faye was eight years of age she moved with her parents to Louise, Texa where they lived for four years, then returned to Hamlin for a time. At the age of 14 years, Faye, with her family moved to Three Corners where she completed her elementary education. On December 27, 1932, Lillie Faye Currier was married to Paul Denney in the home of Pastor Calr Dean. One son, Paul Jr., was born to this union. They established their home in the Red Star Community where they lived for one and one-half years then moved to the Three Corners area where they lived for the remainder of their lvies, a period of fifty-two years. In the summer of 1950, Mrs. Denney made her commitment in Faith in Christ and became a member of the Red Star Brethren in Christ Church. She loved her home and this was her life, a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and quilting for her family and friends and was expecially fond of gardening. Mrs. Denney was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, aunt and great aunt and a cherished friend and neighbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arch and Arizona Currier and by her husband, Paul Denney, on March 14, 1983. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Paul Denney, Jr., and his wife, Joy, and one grandson, Monty, all of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; three sisters, Ollie Denney of Roll; Ree Rose of Paducah, Texas; and Virgie Andrews of Olympia, Washington, also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, other loved ones and many friends. Memorial services were held Tuesday, February 26, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. in the Red Staar Brfethren In Christ Church with Stan Norman and Calvin Walker officiating. Casket bearers were Orville Harris, Kenneth Gamble, Robert Green, Henry Pyeatt, Wayne Snider and Arthur Welty. Honorary bearers were Arl Pyeatt, Clyde McLean, Herbert Reed and A.D. Daniels.
