The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Funeral services for 62 year old Thomas, Oklahoma, resident, Patty Jo Duncan was held Friday, December 6, 1991 at 2:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Thomas, Oklahoma with Rev. Bill Norman, minister of Kingston Methodist Church and Rev. Darryl Owen, minister of the Methodist Church in Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Mound Valley Cemetery at Thomas, Oklahoma under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home, Inc. of Weatherford, Oklahoma. Mrs. Duncan was born on August 5, 1929 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma and died at the Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 2, 1991 after bing in ill health the past two years. Patty Jo was raised and attended school in Oklahoma City and in 1943 she moved to Thomas where she graduated from Thomas High School in 1947. After school she attended OSU for 2 years. On July 17, 1949 she was married to Mr. Clarence M. Duncan at the Methodist Church in Thomas, Oklahoma. Later attending SWOSU in Weatherford obtaining a BS in Education in 1966 and began teaching in the Thomas elementary schools. She later obtained a Master in Elementary Education and continued teaching until 1989 when she retired. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Thomas and memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or the First United Methodist Church of Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Duncan, Thomas, Oklahoma, 1 son David D. Duncan and his wife, Jackie, Weatherford, Oklahoma, 2 daughters, Vicki Stone and her husband, Buddy and Nancy Archer and her husband, Phillip both form Tulsa, Oklahoma, and 7 grandchildren. Also her father, Cliff Pennington, Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ezelle "Penny" Pennington. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
