"Hamp" as he was known to many, was the son of Arthur and Josephine Daniel. He moved as a small boy to Gould, OK and then to Redyon, OK in 1930. On September 10, 1950 he married Fredda Mae Hughes in Las Cruces, NM and they made their home in Redyon where he operated a dozer service and worked as a mechanic. He loved to fish and garden and also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. Hamp was baptized in the Baptist Church when he was young. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, 2 sons, 2 infants, 1 sister, and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Fredda Mae, of Cheyenne, OK; 3 daughters, Ruth Holley of Chickasha, OK; Linda Holley and her husband, Cecil, of Lawton, OK; Floe Daniel and her husband, Bill of Charleston, SC. 5 sons, Leslie Hughes and wife, Sharon, of Haysville, KS; Ray Hughes and his wife, Rita of Cheyenne, OK; Bruce Daniel and wife, Cauldine, of Snyder, OK; James Daniel of Reydon, OK; William Daniel and his wife, Sharon, Redyon, OK. 4 sisters, Leola Curry of Quanah, TX; Emma Bailey of Rainsville, AL; Floe Dobbins of Fyffe, AL; Shirley Duncan also of Fyffe, AL. 3 brothers, T.J. of Dallas, TX; Dee of Texas; and Carl of Rainsville, AL, 21 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 11, 1991 at 11:00 a.m. in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, OK with Randy Allen officiating.
