He departed this life at his home in Strong City, March 15, 1943 at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 13 days. He was married to Maggie D. Hudson March 22, 1900 at Troy. To this union no children were born. He with his wife moved to Western Oklahoma in 1901, when he filed on a homestead six miles northwest of Strong City. He resided on this homestead until poor health prevented his farming, moving to Strong City five years ago, where he lived until his death. He was a well known and highly respected Western Oklahoma pioneer. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, one brother, Will P. Daniels, of Owensboro, Kentucky, a foster brother, Will V. Jurgenss of Roswell, New Mexico, and a host of friends. He was converted and made confession of religion but did not unite with any church. He lived a true Christian life and was loved by all who knew him. Rev. Belieu and Rev. Ferguson officiated at the funeral exercise.
