Death was attributed to pneumonia. Mr. Damron came to Oklahoma in 1900. Was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Belle Carpenter on July 29, 1888 in Indian Territory and to this union were born five children. His wife and one son, Archie preceded him in death. He was married again March 3, 1911, to Miss Naomi Algin Hodges in Arapaho, Oklahoma, and to this union were born five children, all of whom are living. His friends were numbered by his acquaintances. Funeral services held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Methodist Church in Hammon where he was a member. Interment was in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Survivors include wife, Naomi Algin Damron; children, Daniel Vernon "Dick" Damron and Junior Buford Damron of the home address; Vonnie Inez Allen, Mabel Marie Stout, Cecil Wilbert Damron, Benjamin Ray Damron; Meda Perry; Nora Amanda Staton and Bertha Belle Wilmouth.
