Derryberry, 71 year-old Hydro resident, were Friday, March 13, at the Church of Christ in Hydro with Kendall Abner officiating. Burial was in the Poage Cemetery northeast of Colony, under the direction of Lockstone funeral Home of Weatherford. Lloyd was born August, 11, 1926 in Mountain View, to W.H. and Lucille Adams Derryberry. He attended school at Sundown, Texas later moving to Oklahoma, where he attended Hopewell School and Sickles Public School and then graduating from Eakly High School. On December 25, 1949 he married Mary Jo Andrews in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They made their home northeast of Eakly, and moved to Hydro in 1952. Lloyd worked for Rock Island Railway for 32 years. A member of the Hydro Church of Christ, he was a deacon and song leader for 38 years. He was a member of the Railroad Union, the National Rifle Association and Quail Unlimited. He was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers, Fred, Bill, Neil Wayne, Dwayne and Winifred. He is survived by his wife, Jo, of the home; four sons; Phil Derryberry and wife Carolyn, Duncanville, Texas, Burt Derryberry and wife Shirley of Central High, Bill Derryberry and wife Lisa, Lawton, and Walt Derryberry and wife Marcy of Hinton, and one daughter, Rita Upton and husband Jim of Apache, Oklahoma. Also surviving are grandchildren, Staci, Kellie, Kratan, Carrie, Hope, Kaci, Ann, Danny, Dakota, Josh, Matt and Rhett; one great grandson, Will, sister, Faye Richison of Hydro and 1 brother, Herb Derryberry, Logansport, Indiana.
