Born February 10, 1929 at Carter he later moved to Cheyenne with his parents. He graduated from the Cheyenne high school. He was married to Virginia Ann Brown in Shamrock, texas April 25, 1949. He was a former rodeo performer and jockey. Survivors are his wife of the home; two daughters, Cathy Ann and Julie Kay; one son, Kenneth Rex, Jr.,; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel B. Drake, Cheyenne, a brother, Jack of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Marcella Hadlock, Oklahoma City, Frankie Lee Green, Amarillo, Texas, and Judy Fredda Drake, Cheyenne. Pall bearers were J.R. Simmons, Jr., Jewel Burden, Philip Froneberger, Billy Chalfant, Bert Puckett and Clyde Lewis. Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma with Scroggins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
