All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Dearing, Bradshaw Harry Dearing was born August 22, 1914 in Oklahoma City, Okla., and passed away, Friday, Oct. 4, 1991 in Cheyenne, Okla., at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 12 days. Harry, the son of John and Clara Dearing moved with his family to a farm west of Cheyenne when he was four years of age and he remained there until his graduation form Cheyenne High School. On Dec. 20, 1935, Harry married Geraldine Bradshaw and they made their home in Cheyenne. Harry was involved in the trucking business for fourteen years. He later becam an implement salesman for John Deere equipment for several years, before building and operating the Dearing and Son Apco Service Station. During these years he also served as a Volunteer Fireman. After selling the station in 1976, he had an interst in the cattle business in Ellis County for several years. He suffered a massive heart attack in 1983 and even though he tried valiantly he could never regain his health. Harry enjoyed life in spite of his long illness. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and his many friends. Hary joined the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne on June 11, 1927. After his health failed, he attended church regularly via television and felt that he was part of a loving, caring group. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; 2 sons and daughtgers-in-law, Robert and Eula of Arnett, Okla., Jim and Frances of Yukon, OKla.; 4 grandchildren, Tom and wife, Meredith, Larry and wife, Donna, Pam and hhusband, Herbert, Jeff; 4 great grandchildren, Riley, Haley, Eli, Jessica and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct 7, 1991 at 10:30 a.m. in the Cheyenne First Baptist Church with A.L. Martin officiating.
