Ave. D. were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 1975 at the Baptist Church in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, with Rev. Billy Walker and Rev. Milton Gage officiating. Burial followed in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Davis was born July 23, 1884, in Woods County, Texas and passed away in an Oklahoma City hospital Monday morning September 22, 1975. He was married to May Opal Brown in December, 1919, at Sayre, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death April 20, 1928. Mr. Davidson then married Beatrice Robinson July 29, 1930 at Altus, Oklahoma and she survives him. He came to Oklahoma in 1907 and lived in Beckham and Roger Mills counties the rest of his life with the exception of 3 years in Californioa. He owned a farm store at Roll, Oklahoma and a station and motel near Elk City. He retired from the farm and lived in Carter for 17 years before moving to Elk City in 1965. Survivors include: his wife, Beatrice of the home, 2 daughters: Mrs. Lila Muriel Beaty of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Dorsie Mae Hansen, Elk City, 1 son, Marion Junior Davidson of Weatherford, Oklahoma, 1 sister Nell Marriott of Yucanipa, California, also 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
