Ben E. was a key reason Red Johnson Ford won numerous Ford President's Awards which is the highest award Ford gives to dealers annually. Ben E. prided himself in knowing his product. He loved Fords and he loved selling them-or he could go to the shop and work on a vehicvle for a customer if no one else was available. Ben E's customers knew that and that is why they enjoyed doing business with Ben E. The last few years people got to know Ben E. through his gunsmithing skills. He was known as the best gunsmith in western Oklahoma. He worked on lots of guns including some very high dollar guns for lots of collectors. Ben E. was highly respected by his peer group of other dealers and salesmen which was proven by the numerous calls from them over the past year to inquire about his health. Ben E. was preceded in death by his parents, one son Bennett Davis in 1973, and his brother Don Davis in 2006. Survivors include his wife Jeanette of Hammon, one daughter Sheri Dixon and husband Jim of Memphis, Texas and one son Sheldon of Yukon, Oklahoma.
