L. Dearing, who reside west of Cheyenne where Joe had spent the greater part of his life. He became ill just one week before his death, and was serious from the beginning. Joseph Phillip Dearing was born October 29, 1909. He was converted in August 1922 at the age of 13, was baptized and united with the First Baptist church of Cheyenne. He graduated from the Cheyenne high school in the class of 1928. He passed away November 12, 1934 at 8:30 p.m. at the hospital in Shattuck, Oklahoma after an illness of only five days during which time he suffered untold agony. To know Joe was to love him, as he went about doing good in that quiet unassuming way. His place can never be filled which leaves a vacancy that will be keenly felt by his fond parents and brother. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving parents and brother with relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church in this city, by the pastor, Rev. J. H. Bradley, in the presence of a large congregation of friends. Interment was made in the Cheyenne Cemetery. The grief-stricken parents, the brother, and other relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
