Irene Dye was born January 29, 1940 in McKaney, Texas to Clay Veta and Ollie B. Robins. She passed away December 24, 2006 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 25 days. Irene moved with her family to Tatum where she graduated from high school in 1958. On October 18 of that same year she married Don Dye. They lived in Tatum until moving to Lubbock, TX in 1960. They remained there until 1970 when they moved to Cheyenne to make their home. Irene loved any type of sports and loved to watch her grandchildren play basketball, particfipate in livestock shows and any of their other activities. Irene is survived by her husband Don of the home; 4 children Dan Dye and wife, Vicki, of Cheyenne, OK, LeAnn Atwood, of Waskum, TX, Bill Dye and wife, Becky, of Harrisburg, OR, and Jennifer Whitson and husband Danny, of Cheyenne, OK; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of relastives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Joe Robins, and 1 sister, Doris Jack. Services were held December 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Terrell Romberg and Jeff Hurlbut. Burial will be at Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, OK under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
